EXPERIMENTAL TYPOGRAPHY

Poster Design

We were assigned to create expressive typographic posters based on songs for this project. I was assigned the song The Less I Know the Better by Tame Impala. I wanted to play with analog textures and techniques.

To explore the conflicting emotions in the song, I experimented with printing two typefaces. I cut and pasted them together in multiple collages that I scanned and combined digitally for the final composition. I chose a cool, neutral color palette and a digital grain texture to capture the atmosphere of the music.
